Protest

Generally the months Oct-Nov are festive time in this province. During this time of Sarodotsob, people of this part of the country, irrespective of religions take part in different worships, fair, cultural programmes, tours and so on. Local Book-fairs are also flooded by the book-lovers, general people, even children. It was unfortunate that on 4 th October the miscreants backed by the ruling force attacked a Book Counter in South Kolkata, selling progressive and children books. Culture and Book lovers those who protested, when move to re-open the counter are again brutally harassed and heckled. Our association strongly protested the incident and issued a press statement against the bogus administration and warned the Police administration not to allow similar situation in future.
